Imagine having to choose between paying the rent and feeding your family. It's an impossible decision and Waterloo foodbank supports thousands of people who have to make that decision every day. 

Last year they provided 3,034 three-day emergency food supplies to people in crisis and the numbers are going up. 

The foodbank is part of a nationwide network, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

I've made the crazy decision to run my first half marathon this March to raise money for the foodbank and help them ensure no one in Waterloo goes hungry. It'll be my first time running anything more than 5 km, so training has been starting slow but is going well so far.
