Story
Survive DV offer specialist support services to children and young people affected by domestic abuse.
Over 750,000 children in UK witness domestic abuse each year and the impact of living in fear can have huge consequences on children's emotional & neurological development. The unique services offer by Survive help young people to understand what has happened, the impact it has had on them and ways to move forward positively with their lives.
In the current financial and political climate, where statutory mental health service thresholds are high and school budgets offer limited resource for pastoral support it is more important now than ever that Survive is able to offer high quality and specialist support to some of the most vulnerable children and young people in South Glos.
All donations will go towards the running of:
1:1 outreach work with children aged 4-17 yrs.
Group programmes for children aged 7-17 yrs
Preventative workshops in schools and colleges to raise awareness of domestic abuse and teenage partner violence.
