You are all probably wondering why David and I have been spending all our weekends ice skating, well the reason is we've signed up for Vikingarännet. Its an 80km race between Uppsala and Stockholm following the old Viking Trail. 

I had my first taste of ice skating on a lake last year with long distance ice skates and fell in love with it then. It will be quite a challenge to cover such a longer distance but extremely satisfying.

For those of you close to our family you will know that my Dad suffers with Parkinson's disease. At only 59, diagnosed some 6 years ago, he is a young sufferer. There has been some really positive news coming through for potential new treatments and one day a cure and its this that we want to support.
