Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In January, we lost my lovely Gran to cancer. She spent her final month being cared for in Tŷ Olwen, a hospice within the grounds of Morriston Hospital. The Palliative care doctors and nurses worked tirelessly to keep Gran comfortable and went above and beyond to treat her with dignity and respect at every moment. They looked after us as a family, keeping us in constant cups of tea and biscuits, and always gave us the time we needed to ask questions and process information. We couldn't have asked for more.
As a tribute to them and in memory of June Griffiths, my wonderful Gran, I'm taking on the challenge of running 34 miles around the Swansea Valley, starting and ending at Tŷ Olwen's doors. This run is in lieu of the Gower Ultra Bach race, a 34 mile trail run along the Coastal Path from Weobley Castle to the Mumbles, which I was meant to do on the 7th of October but have unfortunately been too unwell to adequately train for. The new run will take place on Monday, the 1st of April and will take in many of the places in and around Clydach that were special to Gran. It will also be the longest distance I've run by 16 miles!! So please give as generously as you're able to so that we can help Tŷ Olwen to keep doing the fantastic work they do. Diolch x
