On October the 2nd I am taking part in Oracle's contribution to a help homeless children via a charity called Action for Children. I got involved with this because when I was a consultant I did a lot of work in the City of London. The walk from Waterloo railway station took in some very suspect underpasses containing  teenagers obviously sleeping rough, "Any Change Please" was a regular cry.... It was those heart wrenching calls for change that got me helping in a small way with Action for Children in the first place, in their year 2000 campaign. It was that campaign.. which caused Byte night to happen, so I feel I should now join this event...

People taking part have been set a target of raising a £1000.00 in a few weeks. Which I think is about as hard as trying to live on the streets If anyone is interested in supporting me from outside the UK with a few Euro's/Dollars using a credit/debit card. Donations can only be made in pounds sterling (£ GBP), So today 10 US Dollars would be £6 and that would be GREAT! so please you need to work out how much you might want to donate in pounds, and JustGiving will debit your card with the equivalent amount in your local currency.
