We provide mental health training to help people look after their wellbeing

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have chosen to run for The Charlie Waller Memorial Trust. To the outside world, Charlie Waller had everything to live for - a successful career, good friends and a loving family. In September 1997 Charlie committed suicide at the age of 28. He was suffering from depression and could no longer cope with life. Shortly after this tragic event and encouraged by the 500 people who attended his funeral, his family founded the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust. The aims of the CWMT are to increase awareness of the signs and dangers of this frightening condition and to encourage those who may be depressed to seek help. Depression is surprisingly common. The trust also works to remove the stigma that is attached to mental illness and to provide training to primary care staff. Please see www.cwmt.org for further details.

Please help me to raise my target of £2,500 to support the CWMT with this important work and please don't forget to tick the Gift Aid box if you are a UK tax payer.

Many, many thanks for your support.

Richard
