We support people to help rebuild lives after stroke.

Story

Emma & Tim's Dad and Rachel's husband, Rick died suddenly from a massive stroke in February 2009, despite being fit, active, slim and healthy.  Raising money  through a sponsored run is our way of trying to make some sense out of this.  Rick's life's work was biological research - perhaps our action and your generosity can contribute to just a little bit more research into the biology of strokes.

STOP PRESS!  We have just completed (Jan 17th) the Helsby Half, which, together with the London Half in September, makes up our "Marathon in Two Halves"....  Miraculously the ice & slip disappeared, the sun shone again - we did it!!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - We raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

We have a second page - if you  prefer to donate to WaterAid, visit http://www.justgiving.com/Rick-memory

Either way, a VERY big "thankyou" from Rachel, Emma & TIm
