Story

This will be my 20th Annual walk to raise money for Cancer Research and Drug Development at The Royal Marsden Hospital where I was once a patient, This will be approximately 1.000 miles from Cumbria, UK to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
My start date Saturday 29th March and my route is something like this, Starting off out of my own front door and walking from Gosforth to Wasdale Head then over the Lakeland Fells to Bowness on Windermere where I pick up The Dales Way long distance footpath and follow this to where it intersects The Pennine Way. I follow this long distance footpath to where it ends in Edale, then cross country to Great Haywood and from there follow The Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal to near to Worcester. Then I pick up The Severn Way and follow that to Severn Beach and from there up the Avon Gorge to Bristol. Then from Bristol to Plymouth I will follow local footpaths and minor roads.
From Plymouth I will catch a ferry to Santander and there pick up The Camino Nord and follow that to Santiago de Compostela, hopefully arriving there in the second week in June.

All donations for Cancer Research and Drug Development at The Royal Marsden Hospital are Gratefully Received – Thank You :-)
