Story
You maybe aware that Tesco's charity of the year is children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.
"Every day ten families are told their child has cancer. Diagnosis often comes as a shock. Treatment usually starts straight away and can last up to three years. CLIC Sargent, as the children’s cancer charity is there… with clinical, practical and emotional support, every step of the way".
The amazing work that CLIC Sargent carries out puts into perspective the daily challenges in our normal lives.
One of the event to support this cause is a 10 day trek to in in late April 2011, which I have signed up for. This high altitude trek under canvas in the Peruvian Andes poses a significant challenge, with fitness and the ability to cope with the thin atmosphere and temperatures ranging from below 0 to 18 being somewhat daunting. Nonetheless, I am delighted to be able to undertake it for such a worthy cause.
I am sure you will agree that supporting CLIC Sargent is thoroughly worthwhile and I would be extremely grateful for any sponsorship that you feel able to offer.
