Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Dan, Yixiong, Joe and I, aka Team 'Only Walking Distance' are competing in the 2017 Trailwalker, which is a 100km team endurance challenge across the South Downs - along the South Eastern coastal counties of England.

Dan has competed before and finished the race in a little under 20 hours.  This time we're aiming to complete the race in under 17 hours, which works out at 5.9km/h.  To put this target into further context: the average completion time is 27 hours and the Gurkha Logistics Regiment hold the course record of 9 hours and 50 minutes!

The money that is donated will go to both Oxfam and the Gurkha Welfare Trust.

The Gukrha Welfare Trust is the leading Gurkha charity that provides financial, medical and development aid to Gurkha veterans, their families and communities.  You can learn more about the Gurkha Welfare Trust on their website: https://www.gwt.org.uk/

Oxfam works with others to overcome poverty, injustice and suffering around the world. Their website is: http://www.oxfam.org.uk

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.  Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.  Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity.  So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
