A few months ago, my younger brother, Turlough, received the devastating news that he had GIST cancer. It is a very rare form of cancer, with little  knowledge or treatment currently available. 

As a family, we felt very helpless in knowing how best to support him.  I am going to take part in the DUNE half marathon on the 16th October, to raise funds for GIST Cancer UK.  Hopefully,  this will bring about more of an awareness of this type of cancer as well as one day, finding a cure for this disease.
