Hi Everyone

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  As you may know, I have signed up to run the Asics British 10K in London on Sunday 11 July 2010.  Most of you will know that running is a new thing for me and I will be happy to cross the finish line in one piece!  I wanted to run for a good cause and I would be grateful if you could sponsor me and help the charity.  I am training hard (albeit beset by health issues) and am almost beginning to enjoy it although may have to start carrying a defibrillator around with me!  

Just over a week to go now.  I have by some miracle managed to run 6 miles in 60 minutes but this was most probably a fluke and unlikely to be repeated!!!  It has boosted my confidence though and at least I know I will be able to get round the course (especially if the buses are runnning!).  I also looked at some of the sad stories by bereaved parents on the FSID (The Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths) website and this alone has spurred me on.  Losing a child must be one of the worst tragedies a person can endure.  Your donations will help those who are bereaved as well as supporting research into the causes of infant death with the possibility of prevention of future deaths.  If you want to know more or help the charity yourself, please take a look at their website at www.fsid.org.uk.
