Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After many years of watching others do fundraising whilst I sit on my backside and do nothing I have decide it is now my turn to put something back. So I have decided to start with something easy, not! Well there is lot of catching up to do. I am doing the Etape Caledonia cycle race on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support on the 16th of May this year.
It is 130km (81miles) of the Scottish highlands around Loch Tummel in Perthshire and I am sure there will be a few beasty hills thrown in for good measure. The winning time will be just under 4 hours. I am no Lance Armstrong so I am hoping for under 6hrs. So I expect to be quite saddle sore at the end but this is a small price to pay me thinks.
For those that are interested, this is the website www.etapecaledonia.co.uk
Macmillan Cancer Support is the primary charity of the event. It is their ambition to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer by 2010. They are a source of support: providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support. They are a force for change: listening to people affected by cancer and working together for better cancer care.
Thank you for your support.
