Please help us! Rose, Flora and Toby on their quest to raise money for charities by taking part in the "Highland Cross." On the 19th of June the team of Affric Spratts will embark on their journey from Kintail on the west coast of scotland, over the hills "where only deer and goats dare to walk," past Glen Affric and finishing the Highland town of Beauly, on the east coast of Scotland. Have a look at what the event entails, http://vimeo.com/9856046.
The team are raising money for a selection of small but vital Highland charities. These include Birchwood Highland, The Seagull Trust, Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland and Lochleven Community. Each charity is picked by the "Highland Cross" due to their important role played in helping the under privaliged and physically and mentally disabled in the north of Scotland. It is services like this which keep the highland comunity going, making it the special place it is today. As each member of the team has so many wonderful moments in these areas they feel it is time to put something back into the community.
At present we are facing a few training problems, Rose has a broken foot, Flora spends all her time in the kitchen, and Toby, in the office. But the team solidiers on, more determined than ever and taking opportunities to don their lycras and get training.
We would all hugely appreciate any help you might be able to give us with our sponsorship.
Many thanks
Flora, Rose and Toby
