Story

Running for Eve and raising money for ELF

Hi everyone and many thanks for viewing this Just Giving page.

On 21st May we will be running the Great West Run (Half marathon) in memory and in celebration of our dear Mum ‘Eve’ who sadly lost her battle with Leukaemia and latterly Lymphoma on 5th March 2023 after battling it for approximately 8 years.

Me and brother Jerry, will be joined by Eve’s granddaughter, Harriet and close friends, Henry, Will and Adam. Together we will all be running our socks off to raise money for ELF (Exeter Leukaemia Fund) and give a little bit back to this fantastic charity that supports the amazing Haematology Centre at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (RD&E).

Mum (and us) thought the nurses, doctors and everyone who treated and helped her in the Haematology centre were wonderful and we could not thank them enough for all their help and compassion over the years. Which is why we want to support ELF and give a little bit back to help the Centre and future patients.

Please donate and we will thank you with every step we take on the run, even the uphill ones!

Please also be assured that every penny donated will go straight to the ELF fund and in these difficult times when fundraising is limited any donations are so gratefully received.

Many thanks again for taking the time to read this page and for the solidarity in helping to fight these terrible blood cancers that indiscriminately affect so many lives.

ELF does amazing and vital work providing support services  to patients with blood cancer and related conditions who attend the Haematology Centre at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (RD&E).
