Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 9 September I will be taking part in a charity abseil down the London International Press Centre, Shoe Lane, EC4, fundraising for The Chartered Surveyors Livery Company's Charitable Trust. I aim to raise in excess of £1,000 which given the short notice, is, I appreciate, a tall order, tall being the operative word in this case!

The CSLCCT offer support to four inner London Schools by funding bursaries for students to help them through university.  Many students come from underprivileged backgrounds and without the programme would not be able to attend further education. They also support the Chartered Surveyors Training Trust providing apprenticeship opportunities in the surveying profession.

In anticipation of you feeling able to help this worthy cause, I will match donations to a maximum of £1,000 to another charity, also close to my heart, namely Care for Casualties www.careforcasualties.org.uk.  This is a charity set up for the purpose of Riflemen who have served, in the main in , many of whom have suffered life changing disabilities.

Photographic evidence of me 'going over the edge' will be forwarded to all those who kindly donate.  Thank you.

About the charity

We support external charities chosen by the Company's Charitable Board for the relief of poverty, advancement of education, awarding prizes and the establishment of libraries and other facilities for the members of the surveying profession or other recognised profession. It also supports the Lord Mayor's nominated charities. Funds are also raised from the annual Inter-Livery Swimathon.
