Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2019 I got my 10 year medal for this great event. Cancelled last year from Covid, and again this year in organized form, but with encouragement to do it virtually. But the walking won't be virtual! I'm planning to walk from Poolewe to Fionn Loch and back, in August - about 12 miles, a couple less than usual, but I'm less fit than usual too!!

Update Well, I've done it! Wednesday 11 August started as a very wet and cloudy day, but putting my faith as usual in the Met Office, I set off optimistically around 3pm and got back in a reasonably dry state just before 8pm. It's a good track all the way, though not having done a long walk for a long time made the last few miles hard work! The middle section, across open moorland with a circle of mountains and dotted with lochans, is fabulous, and there's some shelter from the wind for some vacuum flask tea by the loch itself. Recommended!
