My friend Jamie had blood cancer and underwent a gruelling course of chemotherapy last year.  He's only 27.  He's in remission now, and out of gratitude for his recovery and a wish to help fund research into blood cancer, seven people from the Operating Theatre at Darlington Memorial Hospital committed to riding their bicycles from London to Paris
