Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. So... here is my story...

In October 2015, days after my husband had completed five gruelling months of cancer treatment, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Appointments, scans, chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy followed and in June 2016 I finally completed my treatment. I was ecstatic to finish but was left bald, scarred, poisoned and zapped with severe fatigue and very little self confidence.

In January this year I decided to take control! I stood down from the job I love and have been in since leaving university, I began the C25k training course, joined Slimmingworld and decided to look after myself more.

So here I am 4 months later and am running a distance I could never in a million years have expected to ever run (even before cancer)! But I’ve made it! I want to mark my journey and how far I have come by
fundraising for my favourite charity ~ PACSO! I have worked for this amazing charity since 2000 and during my treatment the urge to get back to the normality of work was such a driving force. I dearly love all the children and families we support ~ and want to raise some much needed funds for future opportunities.

I am also grateful to Cancerwise who provided me with counselling, reflexology and a weekly art class and I am thrilled to see that they are beneficiaries of this event.
