Shine Bright James is a charity that financially helps families where they have a child diagnosed with a life limiting condition. They help to provide equipment, experiences, holidays, anything to make the families life a little easier in some small way. Helping give them the opportunity to create memories, spend every moment and be with their precious little one.
Shine Bright James was founded in memory of a very special little hero, James Reilly, born in April 2014, 9 weeks early, a tiny 3lb 14oz, he overcame major surgery at only two days old and then was diagnosed with a very rare and life limiting genetic metabolic condition called Non Ketotic Hyperglycinemia (NKH). He fought for 10 strong and hard months through severe developmental delays and seizure. He passed in his mummy’s arms surrounded by people who love him. His parents Tara and Jim wanted to be able to help families who found them in this the most awful of circumstances and they wanted their beautiful boys life to have meant something and make a difference to others.
To date James’ charity has helped several families and look forward to helping many more. Thank you for your support.
