As we mark our 70th Birthday on 11th November 20202, I'm very proud to be the Chair of Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Age UK. For 70 years, our charity has been making a difference to the lives of older people across the county of Shropshire. Before the pandemic we launched our Platinum Appeal to raise funds to support older people in three key areas: - Reducing loneliness and isolation - Supporting people living with dementia - Providing information and advice  The pandemic has sadly increased the number of people in need of our services and at the same time curtailed our opportunity to fundraise.

A walk up the Wrekin on 11th is not very daring, it might be a bit challenging, and it will be fun and hopefully give friends, family and supporters of STW Age UK the opportunity to give us the Birthday present of a donation to support our Platinum appeal.
