We provide expert care for autistic adults to enable people to make their own choices

Story

autism
ˈɔːtɪz(ə)m/

noun

"a mental condition, present from early childhood, characterized by
great difficulty in communicating and forming relationships with other
people and in using language and abstract concepts
"

I am running my first half marathon - ever for

the  Kingwood Trust (www.kingwood.org.uk), a small charity covering Oxfordshire.

As a very extrovert, communicative individual, I want to help those who may not be able to communicate that well with others, and help Kingwood as a specialised charity to help them to participate in aspects of everyday life we all take for granted. Having met quite a few parents whose kids suffer from autism, and being touched by their abilities to play instruments for example, and my own background in the music industry and as a translator (where it's all about communication), I felt that Kingwood's cause was particularly relevant to me personally.

Please give what you can - this is about little goes far if it multiplies!

Thank you so much and cross fingers for my run!

Sabine x
