Story
Hello!
So, many of you will know that I am currently planning a 6 month sabbatical, and whilst I am very excited about the opportunity to travel a little more of the world, I also wanted to do something positive to give a little back to the world...
After doing some research, I have decided to spend one month volunteering with Project Peru in their children's refuge in Zapallal, near Lima. I will be working and living with the children there, who come from some of the most disadvantaged families from the shanty towns of Lima. I am really excited about having the chance to get involved in the incredible work that Project Peru does!
Before I get to Peru in April 2018, I am raising money for Project Peru in support of the work they do. Project Peru is a small, lively, totally voluntary charity with minimal overheads offering food, clothes, shelter, education, health, and fun to the children from extreme poverty who live in their refuge in the desert shanty towns of Lima, and in the local community. (See www.projectperu.org.uk for more information).
Your donation will help this amazing charity continue their inspirational work and every penny will go straight to the charity and to the children in Peru.
