We provide free, custom-made equipment to support people with disabilities

Story

"Be adventurous, keep going and live the dream" I shall be competing in my first Ironman in Lanzarote. This will be my longest race to date.It is a triathlon which consists of a 3.8km swim,180km cycle and a 42.2km run.Help Charlotte and others like her, continue  living her dreams and enjoying the adventurous lifestyle by donating to remap.

Remap is a natonal charity that works through local groups of skilled volunteers. They help disabled people achieve independence and a better quality of life by designing and making equipment for their individual needs. .

Charlotte is the eldest of triplets. As a result of her extreme prematurity  at 3 years old, she is yet to walk unaided. Charlotte  has never learned to crawl and so has limited means of independent movement. The very clever people at REMAP have helped Charlotte and her family to support her developing needs at the same time bringing them all a huge sense of normality back into their lives. They have made her a seat that means Charlotte can now safely enjoy play with her sisters without falling over.

Her parents were looking for a way to explore the outdoors with a bicycle trailer that would accommodate not only triplets, but would ensure Charlotte’s posture was protected. The team at Roy Pinks Cycle Store in Newport Pagnell and one of the local Remap engineers, Paul, came up with the ingenious idea of combining a standard trailer with a bike seat so that they could all travel together and share the ride.

All monies raised will help with ongoing equipment for Charlotte and other families like hers.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and for your donations. Every little bit will help make the impossible possible!
