We give shelter and food and training to homeless women and children

Story

Sisterland is a home in Freetown, Sierra Leone, set up by Life Member of the Deeside Thistle, Alastair Brodie, to rescue and re-habilitate homeless mothers and their children. Currently work is being done to set up methods to make this venture self-sustaining. Until income is generated from this, Alastair’s charity, Kids Action, has to provide the means.

In the middle of September several folk have offered to take part in a bike ride to help raise the necessary funding. I have been asked to go along as the back-up support.

The ride is on and off road, between Aberdeen and Nairn and so that I feel my involvement will also make a genuine contribution I am asking you if you are willing to make a donation, small or large, to the cause.

It will be challenging for all involved. One of the days is over 70 miles (a mile per year for me!) and on a mountain bike.
