UPDATE: we did it! This morning a team of 9 children and 3 adults completed the Marlow Fun Run. It was a great sight to see several hundred santas running through the streets of Marlow but I think Team TAP, running in tribute to Alex Pearson drew plenty of attention. Photos to follow soon.We're still happy to take any donations you'd like to make & thank all our sponsors to date. We'll update the total raised before Christmas but with thanks to Rotary and one corporate sponsor our grand total is already heading to an excess of £2000. What this is about: We're running 5k in Santa suits on December 5th in tribute to our friend Alex Pearson as a way to remember him at Christmas-time. Alex spent time at Helen & Douglas House & we hope to raise as much money as we can for that charity in Alex's memory.

Why we're doing it: Let's face it, running 5k in Santa suits even in December is a pretty crazy thing to do! It's not cool and it's not glamourous. We're doing it because we hope the sight of us running 5k in Santa suits will make people smile & think of Alex. That's what we'll be doing!

What your money is for: Helen House is a very special place providing respite care for children with life-shortening conditions. It is a bright, vibrant and positive place where the emphasis is on living life to the full, even when that life may be short. Helen & Douglas House exists purely on charitable donations. Any donations at all would be fabulous, especially at this time of year, so please dig deep and give as much as you can afford. THANK YOU!
