giving up alcohol for lent! · 4 February 2013

We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We stop at nothing to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. Because we believe no childhood should be lost to illness.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In short, I'm endeavouring to give up alcohol for lent (40 days) and I'd love your sponsorship.  As a fresher anyone who's been to uni will understand quite how difficult it's going to be.

But there's a centre in Great Ormond Street Hospital that does amazing work and I know is important to a lot of people from King's.  The Louis Dundas Centre for Children's Palliative Care invests in research and clinical expertise to make high quality palliative care available to children in their last few weeks/months.

Please, if you have a minute, google Louis Dundas and watch the video on their website and i'm sure you'll agree that giving up alcohol suddenly seems like an easy thing to do in comparison to looking after your ill child without proper support and care.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.

So please, drink one less pint tonight or don't have that toastie and give the money to a charity that can help hundreds of children who need it,

Thank you
