Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page...
'On 25th April a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal. More than 8,000 people have been reported killed and more than 14,000 injured.
A second massive earthquake struck on 12th May, killing an additional 65 people.
The UN estimates that 8 million people across the country are affected by the disaster - more than a quarter of the population. Over 700,000 houses have been destroyed or damaged.'
As many of you know I was in Nepal at this time. Although absolutely terrified and fearful for my life and of those around me, I was one of the lucky ones to have survived. And I am lucky enough to have a safe home to return to.
With the monsoon season fast approaching and the rescue and rebuild continually hampered by strong aftershocks, Nepal is still in desperate need of our continued help. Our donations are essential not only for the immediate situation, but also for the years of rebuilding homes and lives that will continue well into the future.
