Pennine Way completed on 18th September 2010 - arrived in Kirk Yetholm on a sunny afternoon - thank you to all those who have already donated but to those who haven't, it is not too late.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
PENNINE WAY 2010
Starting on 29th August over eighteen days:
268 miles of walking....
32,000 feet of climbing.....
The largest peat bog in England....
The highest pub in England.....
Why am I doing this?
Two reasons: first, five years ago my brother-in-law Paul Hallam announced that when he was fifty he wanted to walk the Pennine Way and I foolishly said: “I’ll come with you”. The second reason is because, with your help, I would like to raise money to help people who suffer from severe and life-threatening allergies. I’ve chosen this cause because anaphylaxis directly affects members of my family and friends. The Anaphylaxis Campaign ( reg charity no 1085527)
The Anaphylaxis Campaign was founded in 1994 after a teenager died as a result of eating food in a restaurant which, unknown to her, contained peanuts. It seeks to:
Raise awareness of anaphylaxisProvide support and guidance to those affected and their families
To campaign for better allergy services
To work with the food industry to reduce the use of ingredients known to cause life-threatening allergic reactions

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
