Story

At the end of the month Samuel and I are attempting to survive
(and complete, I guess) the Causeway Coast Marathon. This is a stupid idea that I pregret BUT in doing so we hope to raise some clinko for the National Deaf Children’s Society. NDCS has been a huge help to my family over the last few months, they offer incredible support and advice, and so we’d love to be able to help support them as they seek to support others.

They organise days where families of deaf children can get teaching, training and support in how they walk through the process of helping their children communicate and working out what is best for each family as they raise their child. They organise weekends for deaf children, where they can make friends, gain confidence and be included in the same way as any other child.

It really is a fantastic charity that I wouldn't even know existed unless I needed it, and I'm so thankful it is there for me and my crew.

About the charity

We are the National Deaf Children’s Society, the leading charity for deaf children. We give expert support on childhood deafness, raise awareness and campaign for deaf children’s rights, so they have the same opportunities as everyone else.
