Story
Ten years ago my mum was very ill. She told me it was glandular fever, but she was actually dying of bowel cancer. She was trying to protect me but it meant she ended up fighting the disease alone, and with little time to come to terms with what was happening, I was left felling extremely alone too. I didn't know about Beating Bowel Cancer then, but in the following years the charity have helped by teaching me that I am far from alone. I am actually in a massive group of people who have lost their health, loved ones or lives to bowel cancer.
So I want to give something small back by running a big distance to raise money and awareness in the battle against the second biggest cancer killer in the country. Someone dies of the disease every half an hour so let's try to do something about it. Thanks for your support.
