Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have been lucky enough in my playing career so far not to have suffered a serious injury, however some people are not so lucky. Try Assist: Previously known as The Rugby League Benevolent Fund aims to support players whose lives are affected by serious injuries while playing the game of Rugby League.

Another organisation supported by the Steve Prescott Foundation is The Christie. They are the largest single site cancer centre in Europe, specialising in cancer treatment, research and education, and treating more than 44,000 patients a year.

Many people including myself have been affected by cancer in some way, and if you have played rugby league for long enough it is likely you will have known someone who has suffered a serious or life changing injury. Therefore I'm sure you will agree that the Steve Prescott Foundation is a worthwhile charity to raise money for, and I hope you can help me raise as much as possible by donating whatever you can.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

The Steve Prescott Foundation was set up by a totally inspirational man Steve Prescott MBE. In 2006 he was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei a terminal cancer & sought out to raise funds for The Christie Hospital and the Rugby League Benevolent Fund. The SPF changes the lives of so many people.
