Rather shockingly the average life expectancy of a homeless person is 46 and even more shockingly that's my age this December. I volunteer at SIFA Fireside in Digbeth and have decided to top last year's marathon and try and run 1000 miles in 2019 before my 46th birthday to raise some much needed funds for them. all sponsorship welcome as every little bit really does count for so much. SIFA is an amazing drop-in centre offering hot meals, showers and access to services for the homeless and vulnerably housed in Birmingham.
