Story
On the 5th of September, I will be completing the Cheltenham
Half Marathon for fundraising for Cocker And English Springer Spaniel Rescue
(CAESSR).
On the 3rd of March, my best friend Tinker passed away. She
was a rescue dog from CAESSR, and was my best friend for 13 years. She was originally
rejected from the police force as she had cataracts, and her previous owners
couldn't take care for her anymore so she was given up. After a month in the
rescue centre, we took her in and gave her the second chance that all dogs deserve.
For 13 years she was always there for us, always cheerful and gave every person
and dog she met unconditional love. She was the most precious animal anyone
ever deserved and didn’t have a bad bone in her body. She was always energetic,
and never gave up when she was running, no matter what it was for. If it wasn’t
for the brilliant work of rescue centres, she never would have blessed our
lives and I would have had 13 incomplete years without her.
Every dog deserves a chance to be in a loving home, and lots
of re-homing centres are currently facing problems, especially in the height of
the pandemic. These rehoming centres need funds to make sure that dogs are safe
and well looked after while finding their forever homes. Every
single donation is highly appreciated, and will really help an animal in need.
I hope that everyone with a dog gets the same love that I got from Tinker, and all this is going to help people get the same memories I had with her. I miss you so much and hope this money can help many other dogs and families.
