Story

Following last year's Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge charity walk (thanks again for all your donations), I have decided to do something completely different this year landing myself well and truly in the deep end!

Being a keen fan of the Lake District I have decided to don my arm bands and take part in The Great North Swim in aid of Sheffield Childrens Hospital.

The Great North Swim is a one mile open water swim in England’s largest Lake, Windermere. Following its launch in September 2008 the event has already become world renowned, having been voted 5th in the Top 100 Open Water Swims in the World (posted on 10kswimmer.com, 2009).

My swim will take place on Saturday 12th September 2009 at 9.30am and any donations will be gratefully received and donated to The Sheffields Childrens Hospital.

Many Thanks

Simon
