THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED AND WHO CAME TO THE EVENT TO HELP RAISE MONEY FOR A VERY IMPORTANT CAUSE!

The morning was a real success, 45 children and 34 carers and parents all sang together and helped to raise £549.80!!! I originally set out with a target of £200 so I am more than delighted.

Thank you to all the volunteers, Jenny, Cara, Theresa, Janice, Tara, Melissa and all the mums who got stuck in especially Jo (Zaki's mum) who was the first to arrive and helped me organise everyone coming in.

I am sure UNICEF are very grateful and they will put this money to good use.

YO BABY MUSIC & MOVEMENT  CLASS WITH SOCIAL FUN PLAY SESSION INCLUDING DRINKS AND SNACKS FOR ALL.

 

100% of donations raised will go to UNICEF

On Wednesday 17th August at 9.40am please come to the Surbiton Library Hall to sing and dance to help raise money for Unicef Charity to help the thousands of starving children in Somalia right now.

 

Because of the phone hacking scandal Somalia has not been receiving the coverage it needs. Parts of Somalia are suffering a famine after the worst drought in 60 years. See below.

Right now, today, children in East Africa are facing a desperate crisis caused by prolonged drought, soaring food prices and ongoing conflict in Somalia.

UNICEF is the main provider of ready to use therapeutic food in all three countries, but we desperately need more funds in order to help us reach every child.

VENUE: Surbiton Library Hall, Ewell Road, Surbiton, KT6 6AG. (Behind the war memorial).

Free parking is available behind the venue which you enter on Berrylands Road. There is also baby changing facilities.

 

DATE: Wednesday 17th August 2011

 

TIME: 9.40am - 11.15am (1 hour and 40 mins of fun)

 

DETAILS: 45 Minute music and movement class followed by a 50 minute social session including tea/coffee for adults and drinks and snacks for all with stories, toys and group games.

We will sing songs mainly from Africa but also from other parts of the world and well known songs with lots of movement and props involved. It will be a fun packed music session.

 

AGE: Suitable from birth to five years but siblings of all ages are welcome as they will enjoy the songs and games.

 

COST: 1st child is £5 minimum donation and £10 for 2 - 4 children.

 

PAYMENT METHOD: The best way to pay is through the justgiving page as it goes direct to Unicef right now. You can also bring cash on the day but please be aware that I may not have change and this can also take up time so please try and have the correct amount.

 

BOOKING OR TURNING UP: For health and safety reasons there will be a limit to numbers. So to guarantee your place you should email me on shirley@yobaby.co.uk to confirm you are coming and how you are going to pay. You can also turn up on the day but I can not guarantee a place if I have exceeded the limit for the room.

We will have a great time and raise money for a fantastic charity who are helping starving children right now.
