Sister Act – a group of running nuns?  Nothing so exotic, but two pairs of sisters, Val Brown and Liz Hastings and two of Liz’s daughters, Laurie Hastings and Chloe Hastings. 

We all openly profess to be reluctant runners but we are very enthusiastic in our desire to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.  Several members of our family in different generations have suffered with the disease and so it is a cause dear to our hearts.

Breakthrough Breast Cancer  is "a pioneering charity, which is changing and saving lives through research, campaigning and education by removing the fear of breast cancer for good". 

On Sunday May 23rd we will be running the Edinburgh Marathon as a relay team: 26 miles, 2 pairs of sisters, 1 race!
