ABOUT GRDP
The Guru Ram Das Project shares the technology of Kundalini Yoga with those most in need in our communities. We currently support 20+ classes with people who are elderly, homeless, addicts, dementia patients, victims of domestic violence, mental health service users, are on low income/in poverty and prisoners/prison leavers.
We support our teachers by giving them access to qualified advisors (e.g. Yoga Therapists, Teacher Trainers, Counsellor and a Medic), offering monthly supervision and advice or mediation. We also provide free or reduced cost specialist training as and when we can.
New projects include collaborating with an NHS recovery college, setting up a training for working with people with dementia and promoting yoga healthcare.
We also hold events aimed at building community, promoting healthy (dharmic) living, increasing awareness and understanding of Sikh faith and promoting harmony between all faiths.
GRDP would like to thank Mariya, Snatam Kaur, Richard Dunkerley, Nirankar Kaur and Robert Wagner for their time and donating prizes.
