I was diagnosed with one of the most aggresive forms of breast cancer at the age of 34! It was a whirlwind! I faced two operations, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. I was about to face the biggest challenge of my life because life couldn't be paused! I had two young children, I was the primary carer for my father who lived with us and was terminally ill with motor neurone disease and my business (Eagle) was still very much in its infancy and its success still very much depended on me.
Because of the AMAZING work that these charities do due to the support from ordinary people I benefited from gold standard, modern treatments from the most caring people in the world. My consultant told me he feared the worst in the initial stages so I feel extremely blessed to be able to live my life. Sadly my daddy died the month after I finished my treatment. I'm now a seven year survivor and now I feel it's time to take on a personal challenge that will make a difference.
My baby girl Anna Ashbarry is supporting me. We are not cyclists so our first challenge is to get fit enough to be able to cycle 100km a day around China (by September). That means high intensity training starting now!
But we won't be able to go without reaching a sponsorship target. Eagle Education (me) will sponsor our trip costs so every penny you donate will go directly to charity.
THANK YOU for helping me & Anna achieve my goal. Sonya
