Story
In February 2018, my beautiful mum was taken ill with what she was told was a simple viral infection. A few days later she was in ICU fighting for her life, with flu, pneumonia and sepsis. After two days of fighting, we decided to switch off her life support.
Due to sepsis, we lost an incredible, loving person and we will all miss her forever.
Despite sepsis killing more people in the UK than bowel, prostate and breast cancer combined, it is often missed by doctors. We want to raise awareness for this condition and help prevent unnecessary deaths and the heartbreak that follows.
