I feel honoured to be running the 2019 London Marathon for HENRY. As a keen runner and a mum to five year old Edie I understand the importance of giving children the best start in life. Childhood obesity is a huge problem all over the UK and we need charities like HENRY to help us to tackle it.

I am very passionate about families being educated around healthy food choices and staying active. The more that we do to help the younger generation to understand how important this is the better. I feel really grateful that I was brought up with home cooked food and the privilege to run around in fields and green spaces. Unfortunately this is not the case for many children. 

HENRY helps families with young children that are at risk of negative outcomes including tooth decay, obesity, poor emotional health, parenting concerns and a lack of school readiness. These children are the most in need. HENRY offers support in adopting a healthy and happier family lifestyle in the immediate term which leads to an improvement in the future life chances and wellbeing of young children.
