Story
On the 12th July a team from Sopra Steria’s IMSL Shared Service Centre (SSC) in Warrington will be putting their cycling prowess to the test and taking part in The Christie NHS Foundation Trust Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride.
The Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride is The Christies largest cycling event and was attended by over 7,000 cyclists last year.
This invigorating ride is an extremely popular event amongst
cyclists covering a 60 mile route starting at Manchester United's Football
Ground at Old Trafford going along country lanes to the finish on the South
Promenade in Blackpool, where riders can enjoy a barbecue, live music and a
well-earned massage.
At the same time as showing support for the Christie, which is one of Europe's leading cancer centres based in Manchester, the Sopra Steria team have chosen Prostate Cancer UK as their chosen charity and are aiming to raise in excess of £2500 through their Just Giving website and text donation options.
If you would like to take a look at the official website for the
event and the challenge that we face the link is below, I have also added the
links to Just Giving, Twitter and YouTube, Twitter being the main feed of our
activity at the moment, please follow us if you have a Twitter account on
there.
The team name, Sopra Steria Cyclists (SSC) , has been chosen to help promote both the company and the operation based in Warrington, and we are extremely grateful to Sopra Steria for funding the cycling jerseys.
Here is a link to the jersey’s 3D viewable image, this however is best viewed in Firefox if it doesn’t work, there is also the attachment that you can view.
