Story
31st May 2015
Sarah and I rode through the night on Saturday to complete the 100km ride. It was tough, inspiring and wet! Highlights included the London nightscape, cycling down the Mall, the decorated bikes, the support of the Londoners and making it back before dawn arrived! The best bit though was the camaraderie of 2,000 women cycling for a common cause. To fight women's cancer.
To help with the cause, I am running a yoga morning on Sunday 14th June to celebrate the amazing women our lives. See below for more details or go to: http://www.sorreldelahey.com/page6/page6.html
May 2015: Always up for a challenge, I am tackling a 100km bike ride with my friend Sarah to raise money for 3 great Women’s Cancer Charities - Breast Cancer Care, Ovarian Cancer Action and Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust. The Women V Cancer Ride The Night bike ride takes place on Saturday 30th May from Windsor into Central London and back, over night. That’s right! I am cycling 100km when I would normally be asleep!
Am I mad? Quite probably! But as a woman it’s impossible not to be touched by the ugly side of cancer, we all know someone who has been affected. The stories of loss and survival are tragic and heart-warming. I also strongly believe in the collective power of women and that all the ladies cycling on the 30th can make a difference - by raising awareness & funds - just by making our legs hurt a little bit on the night!
To help raise funds, I am running a special yoga class YOGA IN THE PINK - CELEBRATING THE AMAZING WOMEN IN OUR LIVES on Sunday 14th June in Bruton, Somerset. For further details, see: http://sorreldelahey.com/workshops4.html
I really appreciate any donation you are able to make in our crusade to raise funds to fight women's cancers.
