I'm finally doing the long awaited challenge!!  Starting on 10th August in Scotland I'm going to be climbing (solo) the 3 highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales - Ben Nevis 1344m, Scarfell Pike 978m and Snowdon 1085m, Canoeing (tandem) - Loch Lomond 24miles, Windermere 11.23miles and Bala 3.7miles and Cycling (solo) between each stage totalling 501.5miles!! So over a maximum of 10 successive days the challenge will look like this -

Ascend/descend Ben Nevis, cycle to Loch Lomond

Paddle Loch Lomond

Cycle to Scarfell Pike 

Ascend/descend Scarfell Pike

Cycle to Windermere, paddle Windermere

Cycle to Bala, paddle Bala

Cycle to Snowdon, Ascend/descend Snowdon

To those of you who know me it will come as no surprise that I'm really excited to be able to do this as its been in the planning for quite some time.  My chosen charity is Hounds for Heroes, a fairly new organisation providing specially trained assistance dogs to injured and disabled men and women of both the UK armed forces and civilian emergency services. 

I felt that it was really important that I chose a UK charity as its a UK challenge and of course there is the animal interest too!

So PLEASE donate as much as you can and if you happen to be anywhere near me during the challenge, wet sponges, energy bars or a good massage will always be welcome!
