Story
This is my second time running the Bath Half, but this year I am running solo, without my sister Em who heroically ran with a damaged knee last year!
This is my own personal challenge, training alone has been boring without Em to annoy, and slow and hard. Especially after I broke my ankle at the end of October in Amsterdam (sober I wish to add!) and couldn't do any exercise for 6 weeks. I feel these things are signs to stop running... but hey ho here I go again! Not as fast as I had hoped due to my little incident but I'm not doing too badly...!
This year I am raising money for a local charity, Peggy Dodd Centre, who support people with Alzheimers and dementia. My Grandpa who suffered with Alzheimers used to go there before his passing and my Nan, who now also has Alzheimers, goes every week. It has given her something to look forward to and new friends and activities to keep her mind busy. They are a small charity who do a lot of great work for people who suffer with memory loss so any small amount you may be able to give would help them immensely, and help my motivation to run!
