We fund care, campaigning and research to achieve a world free from MND

Story

This photo was taken in the summer of 2006 when a bunch of mates who have known each other for ever got together to celebrate our collective 40th birthday.  Just over a year later, we got the devastating news that one of us was diagnosed with ALS, a form of motor neuron disease.

So because MND can make even the strongest of us feel completely helpless, because we are desperate for a cure for Jeff and others like him, but most of all because Jeff is like a brother to us, a couple of us are running the Royal Parks Half in London on the 10th of the 10th of the 10th.

Three years on from his diagnosis and a couple of reunions later, Jeff and his family continue to inspire us with their positive attitude --dealing with challenges in a way that most of us could only dream about.  You've taught us an awful lot about living Jeff.  To see what we mean, click on this link:

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page

Post race report -- an incredible sunny day and a beautiful course.  Alisdair got carried away by the spectacle and blitzed the course in under 1h30m.  Steve was more reserved and trundled around in 1h45m.  Thanks again from both of us for being so generous with your hard earned pounds and dollars.  Our site stays live until the first week in November so if you feel so inclined...
