Many of you will know that I am a regular 'challenge doer' and so will not be surprised to hear I am doing the London Marathon.

 

But why raise money for Arthritis Research UK?

 

Put simply because I know from first hand experience just how painful Arthritis can be.  18 months ago I picked up a nasty bug while in Borneo on a challenge.  The bug went quick enough but I have spent most of the time since suffering from reactive arthritis. Trust me, waking up in the morning and physically not being able to move is a scary experience!  Thankfully it is now going and I back to full health - or at least enough that I dare try to run the London Marathon.  

 

I appreciate that the recession is making it a tough time at the moment, and many of you will be sponsoring other friends and family, but if you can spare some cash to support this cause then I would be very grateful.
