Well the final total is getting ever closer I'm still waiting on a cheque from my employer who said they would match the first £300 so the total is gonna be £1,503 when the last £300 arrives from them, so well delighted as £1,500 was my target so a huge thank you to everyone and anyone else who still wants to donate can still do as my webpage here on just giving has been extended to a later date - Such a great cause and I had the bonus of having the biggest buzz by jumping out of the plane ha ha thanks again Podge
Finally the weather took a change for the better blue skies appeared and I went up in the Porter plane with my instructor Rab Peterson a perfect gentleman I may add very good instructor all the way through from the training to the jump it'self big thanks. 12,000ft we went then what can I say the biggest rush I have ever had in my life amazing feeling free falling for 40 seconds then even had a shot of the parachute controls myself brilliant landing went to plan nice n easy then the relief and the big welcome from my family and friends happy dayz - will finally total up the monies given watch this space in a week or two money still coming in but it's looking good well over the £1,000 mark with online and sheet donations so keep spreading the word to people who would still like to donate and the more money the more babies we can help in the future with this life saving equipment. Huge thanks again to all @ Strathallan airfield and my wife Shirley for putting up me ha ha. Looking forward already to the next one Podge Somerville.
Well what can I say July 24th came family and friends were all there I was lucky enough to be the second tandem to go up to do my skydive then the good old Scottish weather stopped the skydive in it's tracks. Visibility at 5,000 ft was zero so due to saftey rules etc we all had to come back down / waited all afternoon but the cloud just got worse so unfortunatley for moi had to reschedule - watch this space and I will keep you all posted on when it goes ahead - Podge - 2nd time lucky eh x

Last April 22nd 2009 my Second Son and third child Kane Steven Somerville was born at Borders General hospital. A happy day for all the family however Kane had complications with him being premature by a couple of weeks however he was taken straight down to the SCBU Special Care Baby Unit and the nurses put my Son in the best possible care for the first couple of days of his little life after a course of anti-biotics and some tlc Kane was back in the ward with his family again.
I always said one day I would repay my kindness shown by all the midwifes- nurses and SCBU Nurses to Kane and my beautiful wife Shirley.
So hopefully I can raise a load of money and donate it to the Unit to help other special babies in the future
Thank you for your kind donations - Podge Somerville
