Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As I entered my 50th year on this planet I thought to myself, what could I do to to completely destroy my body and leave me unable to carry on a full and fulfilling standard of living into my old age ...... and then it hit me. I have often said that I wanted to run a marathon before I turned 50 and tbh the clock is counting down pretty quickly, though I have given myself a good 9 months. I have had a full health assessment, and though it was pointed out that I was overweight (!!!), The rest of me is in surprisingly good shape, so my training has begun.

I have long been an admirer of the work that Big Hearts do in the local community in general and this does not just apply to Hearts fans, hence I would ask you to consider this should you wish to make a donation. Further details can be found on their website. 

I am looking to raise £1,000 because that is a nice round number, and I will commit to making up any shortfall, should I fail to meet this target. All costs etc have been paid for by myself, so every penny raised will go to the charity.
