We support people with cerebral palsy to improve their lives

Story

My friends Cheryl and Gary are the parents to two wonderful little girls called Harper and Amber. Amber has Cerebral Palsy and the family are shielding for the next three months to ensure she stays safe.

I wanted to do a challenge to help support a charity that has been offering the family some help. Information on Cerebral Palsy Scotland is included here.

My aim is to run 26 10k runs from my house in 26 days.

To make it a wee bit harder I have to:

- Complete my run by eight am at the latest

- Run from my house but a different route each time

Cerebral Palsy Scotland walks hand in hand with families with CP. Cerebral Palsy Scotland wants every person with cerebral palsy to achieve and take part.We use our knowledge and expertise to provide opportunities that enable people with cerebral palsy to build skills, knowledge, confidence and relationships.

Providing intensive therapy using the Bobath concept is at the heart of what we do. We also run therapist-led groups for all ages and stages, the Cerebral Palsy Scotland online knowledge bank, and an annual conference.
